Butylhydroxyanisole (BHA) E320 is used as an antioxidant to delay or prevent the oxidation and rancidity of fats and oils.

  • Protection of fats, oils, and food products against oxidation.
  • Formulation of foods and preparations containing fatty components.
  • Helps preserve the stability of fat-soluble vitamins.
  • Used in combination with other antioxidants and synergistic agents to improve antioxidant efficacy.

The technical data sheet indicates a recommended dosage as an antioxidant of0.01 - 0.02%. The final dose must be adjusted to the limits and uses authorized by applicable food regulations.
